The subtle yet effective concrete steps leading to the front door seem to lift the front entrance.  Mature evergreens  frame the house with impressive proportions, while the evergreens lining the entrance pathway casually contrast in size.  Amidst this rather tranquil scene, the two bare, ornamental trees offer balance, varied
texture, and interestingness.

In lieu of siding, vertical concrete can be used for a decorative touch to various parts of the home.  Jayson applied a vertical concrete overlay to bay windows for this project.

Vertical concrete can also be used for entryway walls and the exterior of a chimney to name just a few examples for the exterior of the home.  This product can be used indoors as well.

This flagstone pathway leads to a sloped staircase which provides safe access to the back of our customer’s home.

Above, stamped concrete borders two garden beds consisting of varied plant material such as burning bush, black mondo grass, bronze sedge, and more…

Placement rocks add structure to the landscape, while orange sedge and golden sweet flag grasses add texture and color.

The concrete patio located in the back yard (with a stunning view) is curved and bordered, and textured with a roman slate pattern.

Jayson handpainted the stamped compass medallion colors seen above.

A coloring technique known as “antiquing” was employed to both the patio and borders.  Black color is applied to the low parts of the texture for contrast and a marbling effect.

The finished fire pit appears to be made of layered stone, but is actually a stone pattern resulting from stamped vertical concrete.  Vertical concrete is awesome because the material is light and can be easily manipulated.
